| The Dundas Library
is a branch within the Hamilton Public library system. It is located at
18 Ogilvie Street, Dundas, Ontario. The branch librarian is Karen Peter
who can be reached at (905) 627-3507. The library consists of two departments-children's
and adult. Archival resources and Internet access facilities are available,
in addition to video, talking books and CD collections.
The Friends of the Dundas Library brings together volunteers who share
a belief that the library is vital to the community. It is accessed by
all ages, and its multiple services are a proven part of the town's sense
of community. We are all the richer when the library plays an active part
in the life of the Dundas and its people.
The Friends of the Dundas Library is a volunteer organization, with membership
from the general public. Briefly to sum up, it can be described as follows:
- Citizens with a desire to help the library
- Advocates in support of the library's goals
- Liaise with library board and staff in services delivered
- Charitable, non-profit organization
